About Us
Hello! My name is Kiersten and I am a Jacksonville native and co-owner of Zen Dog along with my business partner Brittani. I started grooming 8 years ago at a small mom and pop shop where they treated every dog like their own. I have quite the zoo at home, including a golden retriever named saydee, a pitbull/whippet named kitty, and yorkie named Pierre. I also have 2 cats, a bearded dragon, and chickens. We wanted to create a place that reflected what matters most to us which is the energy we create for the animals. The concept behind Zen Dog was inspired by my yoga practice and my drive to achieve a peaceful place for your pet. I hope to see you, and your dog soon!

Hi, my name is Brittani! I have been professionally grooming since 2016 and have been working in the pet industry for over 8 years. My experience ranges from working in dog daycare facilities, grooming salons, and even owning a house call dog grooming business in North Carolina.
Throughout the year, I enjoy attending continuing education classes to keep up to date on the latest grooming trends, equipment, and products! I believe there is always something new to learn in this industry to keep your dogs happy and healthy. My accomplishments include being pet CPR/First aid certified and attending a grooming school that focused on safety protocols, cleaning procedures and dog behavior.
I grew up owning a variety of animals including rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs, as well as goats, chickens, horses and dogs. Training horses was my first career before eventually becoming interested in dog grooming. I currently own two dogs, a shih-tzu named Cannoli and a pit bull named Steel. I am engaged and have one daughter. Family and friends mean the world to me, which is my motivation for starting this business with my partner, Kiersten.
